The Golden Globes

The Golden Globe awards were presented a few days back and it was an award function full of 'sweeps". Slumdog Millionaire was considered to be an underdog. But it won not one, not two, but FOUR awards! The movie won the awards for best motion picture, best director(Danny Boyle), hte best screenplay(Simon Beaufoy) and for the best music(A.R. Rahman). With awards in all the four categories that it was nominated, Slumdog Millionaire clearly emerged as the top dog and swept the awards. Kate Winslet was another triumphant winner. She won the best actress award and also the best supporting actress award. That was one night that she would never forget!!One the whole the award function was a remarkable one!
