2008!

The year 2008 has been a great year in general. As I write this, some part of the world has already ushered into 2009! I got to wait for a few more hours. Be it politics or sports, there has been some really remarkable happenings across the globe. The much spoken US presidential election were conducted in this year and the results are really trend setting. US has got its first black president. Barrack Obama is set to swear in as the president of the US on January 20! Let's hope that he serves his term superbly. Would like to conclude by quoting a phrase which I came across. The quote is one line long but it is full of meaning and it speaks about the US presidential election. Here it goes,"It took the Americans more than 200 years to paint the White House black"! How true!!
